Daisy and Tomás boarded a boat to reach a desert island southeast of Santo Domingo. Daisy got off the boat but Tomás stayed.
“Why did we come here?” Daisy asked.
“Don’t you remember this island?”
“Yes… it’s the island where I left you after the death of the son of Aviles.”
After a brief silence, Tomás said, with a mischievous smile: “Don’t take it personally, Daisy. I’m just balancing the scale.”
“You can’t do this to me, Martinez!” Daisy yelled as she hit Tomás in the right arm.
“Why not? ”
“Because …”, after hesitating a few seconds she said the truth, “I love you.” Tomás stared at her and then kissed her; it was like the first time.
“Well … it’s time to go!” said Tomás as he began to row in the opposite direction of the island.
“You’re an unhappy scoundrel!” Daisy shouted with anger and throwing stones at the boat.
“I’ll tell the Black Shark to come to pick up Captain Carrera in four days!”
“You’re a damn pirate!”
“I love you too my dear Daisy!”
